While the place where I live now is nice, it can't
compare to the little small town I once lived in
Oregon. So that's the one in my story.
Once upon a time, when I was a teenager, I lived in
this beautiful, beautiful small town in Oregon. Its name
was Silverton. See? Even its name is beautiful!
It was located nearby to Oregon's largest national park,
Silver Falls Park.
So, what made Silverton special to me? Well,
every sidewalk had trees on it, and being
Oregon, everything was a beautiful green. Kind of
like my own "City of OZ". I was fortunate to have a
job after school at the local Rexall drug store where
I was the janitor and I liked the people I worked with.
I made four very close friends in high school,
and we did a lot of things together. It was a good
time. My high school class was the first class in
the high school since it had just been built. We had
the best facilities, and the teachers (except for one)
were the best, and brightest.
So that is my story. I still wonder from time to time what
happened to my friends. So much has happened from
that time so long ago. But I still keep the town of
Silverton, Oregon's web site on my list of "Favorite"
sites, and will from time to time, check on new events.
