I have a debate tomorrow, and I need really good sources. Could you please help me? You could even offer your own views, if you would like. I am on the team that is affirmative, meaning I support this topic.

"Resolved, that the study, teaching, and writing of history, as is the profession of "historian" should ideally be objective, neutral, and apolitical. Therefore, the practice of history analysis and study will come closer to the truth through impartially and nonpartisan intellectual detachment."
It's kind of asking like, should history be taught with a bias or no?

I disagree, I think all aspects of History should be taught. Ideas, opinions, they are all an important part of it...Also History is written over so many times it is not always 100% true...

Edit: It took a while, lol...Mainly it is asking if only facts should be taught in history...

Here's the deal, I'm a guy so I cannot just come out and admit I have no idea what you're talking about when you said that. So, I'm just going to smile and nod :)

Edit* Katie, it amazes me that you understood that. I agree with Katie!

I think history should be taught with facts from each side or country(depending on the type of history). Being bias keeps people from learning the full story and it doesn't allow people to establish their own idea of what happened.
