I read this book a while back about this young girl who is on a road trip with her older brother and his friend. A part in the book, I think they hit a dog. They come along this stranger's house and the stranger invites them in to stay at the house. And, I know that some time while they are staying with that stranger, the girl and her brother's friend kiss. I just can't remember anything else about it. Please help me remember what it was?!
