Chamomile tea works well but dont taste great, i drink ginger and lemon tea myself

I recently bought a book that talks about healing teas and I just got around to it. I went under gastro/stomach problem since acid reflux was not a topic, and I've read that the follwoing teas were recommended:

Peppermint Leaf Tea, Valerian Root Tea, Sage Tea, Dandelion Root, among others.

I'm wondering if any one of you have tried this as a remedy. so far the peppermint works for me.

However, I'm begininng to realize that this will be a life-long issue. It upsets me that I have this from age 32, minus also, four years of initial suffering. But maybe it does/can go away? Anyone have luck with teas?

Chamomile tea is good for digestion. I try to have a cup after I eat and it does seem to calm things down a bit.

Regarding ginger, do you buy the actual ginger & boil it, or are you referring to the tea form that's pre-made?

I think you are right - I remeraber reading something similar to that. However, this book on teas is very general and doesn't speak specifically about acid reflux - it just generalizes it under "digestion-related isssues" and sure enough peppermint tea is there. Needless to say, I have drunk about 3 of those teas in the course of 5 days and it soothed any sensation I've had in my throat. Now, I 've never complained of any heartburn in my stomack - just a stuck in throat feeling, so I have no idea what type of acid reflux I may have.

I will try the other teas I've mentioned as they will come in the mail soon. Two I have trouble with finding are the licorice or marshmallow teas and I'm wondering if they work better.

Throat Coat tea is great! I have used that alot. I also got papaya Mint tablets from the health food store. They really seem to help. There are alot of good healthy remedies out there.

I have tried Rooibos tea and liked it a lot for heartburn. It did not give me any trouble. It has a very nice sweet flavor to it.

Hi, I don't feel you are really stuck with this problem. I tried tea too and it really didn't help me much. I have had problems with acid in my stomach and throat for years and years but its gone now. I found out I was intolerant to certain fooRAB and when I removed them (after about 6 weeks) the acid left too. If it is true you are suffering from the same thing I was just take a food intolerance blood test (I used ThinkRite System), find out what fooRAB you are having a hard time digesting and remove them. Acid wasn't my only problem that left when I removed the offending fooRAB. I also had chronic fatigue and pretty bad anxiety. They are now gone as well.
