Tearjerker moments in animation

I barely cry during animation..but theres one that I still watch today, and I always get on the verge of crying, its so sad..

Its an episode of the HBO animation series happily ever after, its called "The Happy Prince"

This episode made me cry like a baby when I was young..still gets me a little even today.

This is going to sound lame, but I choked up at the end of Digimon Frontier, with Kouichi almost dying and all the kids finally resolving all their inner issues, finding friends and found friendship with each other. That, and it was the last Digimon season.

I have to co-sign with the sacrifice in Iron Giant. I was practically bawling.

Robotech: Roy Fokker's death and Rick Hunter's reaction.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind: when the heroine is revealed to be the warrior of prophecy. Not sad but Obaba's tears brought my own.

Batman: The Animated Series: episode "House and Garden." Considiering the lengths Poison Ivy went to have a family of her own, this episode both scares the ***** out of me and makes me sad.

I got a little emotional at the end of KND, too. The finale was extremely well done.

I could understand why you would feel sad about that scene. Even though I didn't like Frontier's second half, I thought that it had a pretty good finale. There also was another Digimon series, Savers/Data Squad, made and aired recently just to let you know.

There have been tons of tearjerking moments for me in various animated series and movies.

Land Before Time and Lion King-- I never could handle the scenes where the parents die and how their child responds without crying.

All Dogs Go to Heaven-- The ending with Charlie going to heaven always gets me.

Pokemon: I always cry after seeing Bye Bye Butterfree and Pikachu's Goodebye, which was also the first Pokemon episode I ever saw.

Digimon: The finale to both Adventure 01 and Tamers end in such a beautiful and sad way that I can't help but cry.

I'll think of some more later.
