It didn't do well overseas either (Europe, Asia, etc). I was looking forward to it. It was a tremendous disappointment.

It didn't quite bomb, it took $32m in the U.S. on a $30m budget, didn't exactly make much profit though and sequels tend to earn less.

I'm laughing but I know what you mean, I'd have picked it up for my son had I not been told about it beforehand by someone else and now watched it myself. I remember laughing so much I missed most of it, but I was fairly squiffy at the time. Must watch it again.
