Team America and Michael Moore

About a year after everyone else, finally seen Tean America - v funny. The music really made it, not only the songs, but the dead straight Hollywood incidental music from Harry Gregson Williams, that made everything totally absurd. Class.

I have a question - does anyone know if Michael Moore has commented on the movie? Matt Stone was interviewed in Bowling for Columbine. Apparently he objected to Moore's South Park-esque cartoon in that movie - Stone said it make it look like it was Stone's work (even if Moore never actually said it did). So Team America was retaliation.

I like Moore, but would like to think Moore has a sense of humour about himself. Not altogether sure that he does though...

I was under the impression that Matt Stone was actually involved in that cartoon section of Bowling For Columbine. Of course, I could be totally wrong. It sounRAB like his voice on the cartoon.

By the cartoon bit I presume we're meaning the cartoon near the end about the history of guns in America? It appeared way after Matt Stone's bit, I don't see why anyone would automatically think he'd done it. Besides, it was a really good piece, I wouldn't have minded being associated with it.

I think in Team America they just wanted to have a go at the left and the right and Michael Moore is one of the most famous lefties in America.

Michael Moore is annoying. I hate extremists (he practically is one!).

Like Areece said, Team America is just having a go at both enRAB of the spectrum, and Michael Moore is known for his rather public displays of anti-Americanism.

Michael Moore is probably not concerned about it; Team America takes the piss out of everything! It's great.
