TCM / TCM HD schedule on Bell

Just doing some planning for the weekend and have noticed the schedules on TCM and TCM HD don't match. Went to TCM.com for schedule and Canadian schedule doesn't match either of the Bell versions.

I've noticed this a couple times for a few hours but it always seems to work it self out but this has been up for almost a week.

I also have noticed they get the wrong version information of a movie incorrect. Recorded a couple movies based on Bell guide and it turned out it was a different version of a movie of the same name.

Growing pains I assume of the new addition to Bell.
 
Is there a specific movie you saw? I'll have it flagged with our guide department to be corrected.

On Wednwesday January 13 they had listed "Big City" with Danny Thomas,Margaret O'Brien,etc from 1948 when if fact they played the 1937 version with Spencer Tracy, Luise Rainer,etc.

I'm surprised actually it doesn't happen more often with all the movies made in our lifetime.
 
And remade.

I've seen that happen once in a blue moon. Can't remember if it was TCM, though. I usually just chalk it up to the channel just making a mistake. Don't all of the providers just pay a separte company for the service? I knew a girl who worked for a company that did the captioning on stuff like that.
 
Most companies use Tribune, who also owns the Zap2it site. The Tribune feeds are much more accurate and complete than the Bell guide. Bell has generic descriptions on many shows the Tribune feed has details for and Bell guide's series episode numbers are wrong 99% of the time. Bell is often also missing year and rating info for movies. That's something that Tribune almost always has. Bell's guide really went down hill when they updates the PVRs to do name based recording. There is also a problem with the NBR data as it only seems to work properly about half the time. I've been telling Bell and Bell's retention department about these problems for years but nothing gets fixed. Their response is invariably to try and sell me a new receiver, which never fixes the problems either. From all appearances, whoever is doing the guide only has about half the staff and/or info they need to do a decent job.
 
this is somewhat off-topic, but does TCM censor their movies? I know that AMC censors theirs, but my Grandpa was just curious if TCM censors or not.
