TB test at 5 months pregnant?

are you in the states? if so i believe its a routine test during pregnancy (not in the UK where you are routinely vaccinated against TB in adolescence) and yes it is totally safe. I had been vaccinated in the UK but in my first preg was in the US and the skin test showed i had traces of TB in my system so the alarm bells started ringing and they even sent me for a chest xray (covering up baby with the special pads in the process). I told them all along that there would of course be a tiny amount of TB antibodies in me as i had immunity from the vaccination i'd had as a 13yr old girl in the UK but they insisted on the chest xray anyway despite the fact that i was perfectly healthy... Of course they had to be safe rather than sorry and put it down to the difference in vaccination plans in the UK and US. Anyway, back to your question, it is perfectly safe and quite routine in some practices.
