It's really quite terrible, and on my worst remakes list...

Just watch the original French films, Taxi 1 and 2 are the best. There is also a Taxi 3 and 4.

everybody says 'watch the french version' but I still really like the Queen latifah one. Though maybe its because i like watching Jimmy fallon in a police uniform, so hey i'm biased

yeah I love her too, she's great. I love the way all the way through the movie she goes, 'damn!' I also really liked the chemistry between her and Jimmy Fallon, they should do more movies together!

French "Taxi" is great - all the cabs flying round the motorways around Marseilles. Taxi 2 has a bit of an anti-Japanese theme. Haven;t seen 3 & 4.

I found the sequel to be the most enjoyable. Three was nothing special and yet to see the fourth one.

Taxi has just ended on film4 this evenong. I liked it, nice undemanding fun. The interaction beween Queen Latifah and the cop, who I've learnt from this thread is Jimmy Fallon, was great.

Question is QL being cast as the funny woman now in films instead of Whoopi?

KiRAB loved Taxi last night. It's the supercharged Crown Victoria I think that did it.
