Tax hike/spending cut to offer better compensation for soldiers.?

Would you as a taxpayer be opposed to a tax hike, and or a cut in other spending programs to give military personnel better compensation. The offered pay and benefits in the military are , in my opinion out dated. The job is difficult, and dangerous.
 
I think the military spending needs to be cut, PERIOD!

Reduce the size of the military, reduce funding to those military projects that will never see the light of day or are unnecessary, and increase the pay for soldiers.

When we get in a real war, then we can worry about adjustments.
 
when you consider that CEOS that run businesses into the ground get millions of dollars A YEAR...

while those dying for the freedoms of the CEOS to do so get 20K a year...

yeah... I would support a raise for the troops...

personally, I've always supported a "you serve, you don't pay taxes" idea...

you serve in combat.. you don't pay taxes for the rest of your life...

not so sure about non-combat duty... I could go either way... maybe a 10-year minimum for them...
