Is there a new law preventing anyone from joining the military if they have tattoos on their saluting arm? My husband wants to join the military but he has tattoos visible on both arms. We heard there was a new law that will prevent him from going in. I was just wanting to know if anyone could confirm this or tell me if its just a specific branch. He was really disappointed to hear this so I'd like to know if there is any truth to it. Thank you.
His tattoos are his mothers name, his fathers name, a star on each arm, a capricorn, a spider, and a skull ying-yang, but I wouldn't consider any of it offensive or gang related.
