Taskbar keeps flashing [Windows7]?

It could be a virus. Download Malwarebytes anti-malware here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol

And run a quick scan. If it finds anything, get rid of the virus/malware (by pressing remove all when scan finishes) and then restart computer. Next update the program and then run a full scan. Again if it fnds anything remove the virus and restart.
If that doesn't help maybe it is a registry error/problem.

Install and run all the scans. (it will show you what and how to do it). Repair it and restart. If that doesn't help then I don't know.

I had to send my laptop back and they put in a new hard drive.
Sooo my question is why is the taskbar flashing or whatever.

btw I am using Firefox 3.6? well the newest one out there.
help would be appreciated. thanks.
laptop: Hp G60....if that helps.
