Tarantino Question

I bought Death Proof the other day and it says 'The 5th film by Tarantino'....what are the other 4, because I can count about 8!

It seems a bit strange that he now says how may films he's made at the start of his movies.

Almost like he's trying to distance himself from the films that had his name on them that he's not too proud of.

It must mean the five he has Directed(before Inglorious BasterRAB). The others is has just written or guest directed a section/scene for example True Romance or From Dusk Till Dawn.

I think those are the ones he's directed, as UV says, he's directed parts for other people's projects but those are his projects - each film usually comes with the tag line -' his second/third/forth...film' for some reason.

Techinally it's 5 if you count Kill Bill as 2 movies. True Romance he wrote the script for but Tony Scott directed it

I know I'm in the minority but I actually loved Death Proof/Grindhouse, this and Jackie Brown are my favourite QT films.
