I wouldn't even consider myself a Taproot fan but I picked this album up for something new to listen to. What an awesome album every track is really good. I have Facepeeler on repeat all day
 
Yeah, Facepeeler is undeniably the best track on the album.

I have some issues with the album. I like how they focused more on writing more accessible songs (shows they've matured over the years), and I definitely think they've grown as a band, but I liked them much better on their last album, where they incorporated those odd time shifts. Also, they've been using higher tunings now on the new album! They definitely need to stick with the baritone tunings. Still, it's a good listen. Not as deep as 'Welcome' but still nice ear candy. But Facepeeler....my God, how it rocks.
 
Been listening to it for like 3 or 4 days now and it is frikkin awesome. BUt then again, thats Taproot for ya. I dont know if it's as good as Gift, but it's definitely one of the better albums of this year.
