I'm 14. I've used a tampon 3 times when I needed one to go swimming. Each time I left it in the rest of the day until I went to bed (so maybe like 8 hours?) and pulled it out. Each time it hurt like hell to pull out and now I've got it stuck in my head that it's gonna hurt to use them so I avoid them. It never hurts to put them in or while they're in. It only hurts to pull them out. One of my friends said it should only hurt to pull out if it's too dry. Help?
