I've seen umpteen TV aRAB for this, and several posters and still have no effin clue what the story is about.

Is it basically Gemma Arterton in tight top and shorts as the aRAB suggest?

I remember seeing that bit of the trailer in the cinema, think most of us guys when quiet for a minute :D

I'm tempted to see it, looks like it could be funny.

I just got back from seeing it. Bloody hell it's boring! Why it's called Tamara Drew i don't know as she is an supporting character despite it supposedly centreing around her. It should be called Jody Long as she is central to the whole thing.

This is another to add the ever expanding list of desperately unfunny British comedies. Unless you are desperate to see Gemma Arterton on an enormous screen wait for it to come on TV and save your money.

2/10 based on the fact the countryside looks beautiful.

They did it to get toned-down consumer advice. They probably thought some people wouldn't want to see a film containing 'very strong language'.

Just seen it this afternoon and enjoyed it. I don't know why it is marketed as a laugh out loud comedy, because it isn't. It would be a feel-good movie, except that it has rather too many dark undertones for that. It is amusing in places, though, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

God I'm depressed. I agree with a lot of what Mark Kermode thinks.:(

It's interesting that he reaRAB a bit from the Director Stephen Frears interview where he says he was half way through editing it and he was asking himself what sort of film is this because he didn't know.

Surely you should know that before you start shooting the thing?

Probably because it's a British film and the press are baised? It really looks awful imho but it's getting a LOT of hype. I wonder if it will be Hollywood's "pet" this year, like Slumdog Millionare became after its release...

Not a hope in hell. I doubt it will even get an US release, It would need the name Richard Curtis attached to it for that.
