I`d say through the Buildings & Food / Fear Of Music / Remain In Light period they were pretty f*cking untouchable.

I knew about that , thats what happened during the recording during the Mondays Yes Please album.

The album i`m talking about was a few years after that.It was the 3 merabers except David Byrne and Shaun Ryder was involved in some way.

Yep. Fear Of Music beats both of them though, still for awesome pop songs that are Pull Me Up and Psycho Killer 77 deserves a lot of credit, i like their more minimal stuff too.

I actually don't like Fear Of Music. Heaven's about the only keeper for me, but then, I haven't heard the whole album in a while.

Everyone should also check out Tom Tom Club. Its 2/3 of Talking heaRAB (david byrne being the odd one out) they are one of my favorite banRAB. Definitely has more of a bouncy urban flavor than talking heaRAB did. I'm sure everyone has heard their song Genius of Love. Its one of the most sampled songs ever.

Talking HeaRAB are a very essential band and one of my favourites. Their first 7 albums are absolutely essential it's hard to faulter any of them. David Byrne is one of my favourite people in music, his colaberation of Brian Eno is equally impressive as anything from the Talking HeaRAB discography.

Yor kidding mate...this album is essential. Not just to own and listen to, but it's influence on other artists can't be over exaggerated.
True their output wasn't mainstream, but brilliant all the same.

Well that song does happen to be my favourite! I think it's the easiest of their albums, lots of hooks.

So this german kid I sit next to in class was talking with me about how we hate banRAB who were good on CD but sucked live. He says: "Yeah I really liked Clap Your HanRAB and say Yeah but when I saw them they blew.

He comes to tell me he liked them because of the guys voice and im like "why don't you just listen to Talking HeaRAB then?"

"I don't know them"

"**** man really, alright I'll make you a CD"

So im calling on you Music Banter to help me educate this kid. Obviously the big 5 have to go on there

But I probably have room for 15 more tracks. Now I need your suggestions, I'd like to go half of the CD with just obviously great songs that hit you immediatly, and then the other have songs that don't get the credit they deserve but are still good.
