When I'm very angry with myself, or with a situation...I begin talking with myself. It's more conversational than problem solving. I guess I can try to type out an example, but it sounds awkward...
J1: So you're going to do this again? You're going to relapse? You're a disappointment. Completely.
J2: Leave me alone. You're ridiculous, and I don't need to hear this.
J1: You know you want to. You know you do, and you're just arguing so that you can try to put this off. Just give up. Are you feeling sick yet?
J2: You say the same things every time, you really don't phase me anymore. Please just leave me alone.
J1: You're so pathetic. 'Oh please, oh please, leave me alone'. You can't even defend yourself. You're hideous anyway, maybe if you make a few slices you can handle your emotions.
J3: You two are only doing this for attention. You're going to tell Mr. [guidance counselor name] about this. You're doing this so you can tell him and then you'll have attention. You're an attention seeker. All of your problems are for attention. Even the ones you don't tell. You just want attention, even our attention. How pathetic, you can't get attention from anyone else, so you even turn to us.
J2: At least I'm not some [expletive] irrational freak! You're not even real. AND. Why would I do something for attention and not tell anyone, ever, for over six years? What is the point, where is the rational thought process?
J1: We're a part of you. If we're irrational, you're irrational. Are you admitting that?
J2: I am absolutely not irrational. You are making me sick. I don't need this, and I don't need you.
J1: Oh, you do, or you wouldn't have humored this conversation anyway.
***And it just goes on like this, for upwards of an hour...if you're wondering about the relapse thing...it's self injury related. I need to know if this is something I need to get checked...I'm doubtful about it, because many people talk to themselves...but I would like to have opinions from the yahoo answers community, I guess. Thanks.
