I need a step by step process to take my catalytic converter off of my truck. PLEASE include a way to make that stupid check engine light not come on. I was told that there was only one oxygen sensor before the cat, and that taking the cat off would not affect this sensor. If it would, is there a way I can fool this sensor? If so, tell me please. Also, would it be better to put in straight pipe, or just gut the cat? And, finally, which of the two would be louder?
