taking spring semester off of college & financial aid?

so, i'm having some personal mental health and family issues right now, so i'm strongly considering taking the spring semester off at my community college. i got a pell grant, a state grant, and a scholarship from my high school that paid it all off for me.. they already gave me the money for spring 2010, too.. so what will happen to that aid? and if it's taken away, could i get it back? i'm going back in the fall if i do take it off.
 
Yea, sorry to hear about your troubles but if you need it off, take it. You get 6 months before any issues occur with financial aid- and once you come back you will reapply for your aid, but unless your parents earn more money etc- you should get the same aide (not a guarantee though).

Just dont let it go over 1 semester- you will need to take 2 classes in the summer again because after 6 months, the government considers you an adult again and you will have to start repaying your loans- they dont kid around with that. Dont wait until the fall because that will put you over 6 months.
