Anybody out there know how much trouble it would be to remove the windshield from a C50T, and how hard are they to put back on. Do they make a removable w/s for the C50T?
...They're not quick release? I could have SWORN they were quick release.
I was at my buddy's house and his dad has a C50 with saddlebags and a windshield. I thought it was a T, it looked like the stock ones, and I specifically asked him what kind of windshield it was, and he said it was the Suzuki official one, and he showed me the quick release.
Looked at mine and talked to my dad the C50 doesn't come factory with a shield. If you can ask your buds dad if he ordered it with one, or put one someone put one on mine does not come off without use of tools. I've googled it and it shows nothing about quick release
There are only three Number-5 size hex bolts on each side, they provide about an inch of UP/DOWN adjustment. You can remove the bolts, and pull the windshield off, leaving the mounting hardware. There is no quick disconnect installed with the factory windshield.
how hard is it do line everything back up when you remove them? Would it be worth the trouble. i would only do it every now and again for cruising a little not highway riding.
It will line back up no problem. The windshield part is slotted to allow for up and down movement. IF you remove the bolts, the windshield comes off. IT will go back on the same way it came off, you just have to adjust it to your liking.
removing and reinstalling a Suzuki windshield is impossible to screw up, takes about minute and requires on allen wrench. Why would you want to remove it?
took it off this weekend is was a cake walk four bolts and wham its done lined up perfect putting back on. Did look kinda funny with the tall risers I have on my bike though, but its cool if you want to polish the light and top of forks.
