Taking a holiday in Florence , first time trip, any advice on restaurants?

Hi I am taking a week long holiday in Florence in early August, I am travelling alone.
I am seeking advice on good restaurants in the City Centre, have looked at a lot of travel books, but far too many to choose from, any ideas welcome.
