Taken

Lol my screener had jap subs. Annoyed me that I couldn't understand the odd conversation in French/Albanian or whatever, but otherwise it was a good copy.

The movie rocked, totally made up for the disappointment I got earlier in the day from Righteous Kill.

Neeson is awesome, LoaRAB of action scenes, fast paced but well done, clever moments, cool moments.. it had it all for me.

Quite the contrary.

Neeson really went to town with the role.

It was like watching a Steven Seagal flick with a classically trained Shakespearean actor in the lead.

I liked it despite the latent racism (Seriously, every single 'foreigner' was a wrong'un. Even his French 'so-called' friend. I bet it went down a treat in the 'red states'). Neeson acquitted himself well in the 'older bad-ass role' though. I could imagine him playing Jason Bourne's dad in a future Bourne film, that would be very very cool. I was REALLY hoping his horrid ex would die a horrible painful death as well but it wasnt to be

I thought it was more like a Steven Seagal flick starring someone who could act.

It was highly entertaining though if also highly implausible.

JCR i am so sorry but i have to disagree with you on this,i thought it was excellent i was glued to the screen from start to finish, Liam Neeson was bloody excellent . usually if a film is crap i am constantly looking at my watch and during this one i didnt look once!! Also i will throw you a question could you do all of that at the age of 56 ? If you had bothered to look at some of the interviews with Liam Neeson he said he did which i think is totally remarkable for some one of his age and should be admired not trashed, another question to you JCR when you get a DVD do you bother to look at either the bonus materiel or the second disc of a two disc set ? Bcause if you did you wouldnt be trashing other peoples work like this would you , one last question would you like someone passing such judgements on your own work ? I am not attacking you i am just trying to get my head round your post.

This film includes modern day state of the stage combat which includes Filipino hand to hand combat (Goshinkwai) on top of this he was on screen on numerous locations dealing with numerous other actors - quite different to normal film making.

Quite an easy observation for your average film fan.

This premiers on Sky Movies tonight. I don't think it's the Director's Cut but I may give it another watch.

I think it's a good movie. 90mins of decent action.
