Yeah, but for all you know he could be taking the Michael Caine approach to acting ie. a pay cheque's a pay cheque and I don't care about the film's quality.

All I know is if you're going to make a painfully stupid, racist movie, the least you can do is not take it seriously. It's dour, predictable and boring.

Great action film. The first 20 mins are a bit boring but setup the film.

The rest is action packed with the same style of the Bourne films. Quick cut action shots with close martial arts and gun play.

Definately one to see :)

JCR you havnt really answered my questions have you ? You may not have liked it but you should respect the opinions of who did and you seem like a person who just scan reaRAB peoples posts and tacks on a opinion,i respect the fact that you dont like the film thats fine for you but please dont dont force your opinions on everybody else like saying please avoid thats not nice and for your info i am a big fan of Liams are you ? please post:)

Seeing as the villains are Albanians the makers probably thought they could get away with crude stereotyping as the only western film star to make a splash in Tirana is Norman Wisdom. ;)

I'm looking forward to this film, looks really good. It's not out at our local Cineworld until Friday, so I've got 4 films this weekend now that I want to see

I watched this but with hardcoded Dutch subs. So I'm looking forward to it coming out officially this weekend. Brilliant movie. One of the best I've seen so far this year. Neeson's acting is superb and the action is gripping from start to end. A must see :)

Just got back from a preview & agree with the previous comments.

One thing did worry me though about the film's climax...

Who was steering the boat?

Yes but you're point appears to be that Liam Neeson undoubtably worked hard on taken, therefore I shouldn't point out it's crap (IMO of course). Uwe Boll undoubtably worked hard on postal, Paris Hilton as well on the hottie and the nottie, so should these not be criticized?

Saw it today.

Liam Neeson OWNED this movie! If it wasn't for him and him alone this film would have gone straight to DVD but it's a cracking film and a true popcorn movie. Just sit back, relax and enjoy.

I completely believed in the father/daughter r'ship between Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace and yeah it was cheesy at times but so what?! :D

I would have loved it to have had a darker edge but as it is it's Jason Bourne-Lite and that's no bad thing in my eyes! :p

PS. Does anyone know what song played over the end credits? It was a great tune!

Really enjoyable movie, good acting as always from Neeson, really well edited, although predictable outcome.
BUT
How did he make it out of France a free man?

Ive just been to see this an its rubbish ...
I hated the dire stunted acting, lost girl was dreadful ..... Neeson what were you thinking doing this trash ..

Neeson's good and there's some nice action but it's fundamentally a Charles Bronson revenge movie updated for the noughties, little more.

Saw this today - wicked film.

Great action, a good plot, gritty locations and fantastic acting from Neeson. He's like a subdued Steven Seagal :p

Easily gets an 8/10 from me.

And ignore all the other positive ones?
