Like someone in the ANN forums pointed out, this sounRAB like the reverse-gender version of Bleach which actually doesn't sound like a bad thing. If anything I will be interested to see where this begins. However, I can already tell that the guy in this is the new male tsundere of Takahashi-infamy. (I mean, look at him. He looks like Inuyasha but with normal hair)

Anyway, looks and sounRAB cool. I'll hope it gets licensed and we'll see if it lasts another 50 volumes that we'll get tired of after the fourth or fifth year or so.
 
as long as she doesn't put in another Naraku-like unkillable regenerating villain il be great, Inuyasha started getting all repetitive when he showed up. I liked all her other series, well, except the seinen one ive never read (i should get to that sometime), il probably like this one too.
 
That's what she's good at. Her romantic comedies with a super natural twist are much better then Inuyasha when it tries to go all out action shounen. Lum anyone?
 
It seems to be gender bent BLEACH, but I hope it's more Ranma or Urusei Yatsura-esque, since that's what Rumiko is the best at, but really I look forward to Kyokai no Rinne, oh and I'm half expecting Kappei Yamaguchi to play the main guy, seriously you can tell his voice fits him just by looking at him
 
Personally,I'm looking forward to it,even if it does end up being basically a reverse-gender,Takahashi-esque take on Bleach...She's one of my favorite manga creators,so I'm pretty sure I'll end up liking it....
 
Well, we just know she can see spirits. I don't think she'll take the Inuyasha/Bleach crossover unholy-union route that we're expecting.

Though if she does go that way, its a near guarantee that this would last a while.
 
I'm thinking that the premise is the only thing it has in common with Bleach. I don't think there will be some big defeat the enemy in a different world thing more of a "My boyfriend is a ghost, hilarity ensues." type of thing

Oh and when you speak about useless Bleach girls you must mean Orihime. They should replace all her screen time with Yourichi.
 
If this was a gender-bended Bleach with a plot that makes sense it would be the most awesome thing Rumiko Takahashi has ever done.

Somehow, I doubt that's the case, though, and it'll probably be a romantic comedy.

One can hope though.

Yup, Rumiko definitely should go back to her romantic comedy roots. Shes a genius in that department and the genre neeRAB her. For every one Toradora there are eleven Akikans
 
sounRAB like bleach??, "she sees ghosts and is visited", you think Bleach is the only manga that starts like that?, its hardly an original idea. Besides, she's better than that, shes not going to make a Bleach rip-off. Besides, an Orihime with smaller boobs would just suck.



you think there's going to be a guy who looks just like Ryoga from ranma1/2, you know there was Koga in Inuyasha whose face exactly the same, there just has to be.
 
I agree with you 100% man. Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2 are my favorite of her series because they are really quirky and fun to read. Inuyasha basically is a snore fest. But, I'll keep my eye on this series 'cause it just might be worth reading.
 
Wow, so now even manga is getting simultaneously released? That's impressive. I think I will check it out, if only out of curiosity and a desire to take advantage of this unprecedented endeavor.
