Hi, Just wondering has anyone received tainted heparin, and what were there symptoms?

no, I don't know anyone but what I mean is - if it was tainted with arsenic, the reaction would be one thing. If it was tainted with mold, it might be something else. And reactions can occur even when a med is not tainted. What is your particular problem with the heparin? You can have the vial - or pill - tested.

i am also wondering just what leads you to believe that you even could HAVE heparin that is actually tainted in some way?? why do you have the suspiscions in the first place? do you think this was due to a drug co issue or some other reason? that would help, just knowing more info. to my knowledge just considering what this particular drug does/is used for, i do not believe they actually make a pill form titch? its strictly a liquid/injectable? FB

thanks so much for responding to me. Back in 2007 there was Tainted Heparin on the market that caused severe illiness and or death in some people, (syringe form). I am trying to locate some of the people who had received the tainted product to see what kind of injuries they received. Just a fever, instant death, prolong death. Did the Tainted Heparin compromise their Immune System? Did they get sick of all different kind of things? Did it effect each person differently?
I am not a lawyer, just a wife, looking for answers, hoping for solutions.

wow now thats interesting. do you know just what it was tainted with? i just do not recall hearing anything about this on the news or anything, thats all. one possible place that could have info would be the FDA? they do have some different sites, all . govs, that do deal strictly with products that were actually recalled or caused unexpected deaths for some reason? i really do think that THAT might be your best source of info with this. searching recalled or tainted products/heparin thru some area of the FDAs own website, since anything having to even DO with possible tainted meds would be investigated by the FDA. just a suggestion for you. good luck with this. i certainly hope no real long term damage was done to you or a loved one. FB
