tailbone - sciatica pain?

I have pain in my tailbone after sitting more than 5 minutes. It hurts worse to try and stand up. Standing and walking helps, but as soon as I sit again it comes back. I also have moderate burning sensation down the FRONT of my right leg. Sciatica is down the back (I've had that before, also) Both the pain and burning have been going on for over a year. MRI showed moderate deg. disc disease . Any thoughts?

I have same problem, but I have had three lurabar surgeries, and after 10 years, and two cervical surgeries also, I begin having coccyx (tailbone) pain. Have had so many MRI's/Cat scans and most recently a spinal tap and myle-something. All the doc can say, is nerve damage. Don't make sense to me. Would say more, but have to wait til I'm able too.

Were you told what level the DDD was occuring? Like for instance L5s1, L4/5, etc.... .

Did you ever fall on tailbone? I was told that I might have injured it a long time ago, but only now feeling the pain now.

Lets hope other folks respond, because your question, mine also, is only one of the many reasons I have returned after a long while away from here dealing with the pain that rises and falls from head to thighs to ankles to bottoms of feet that walk on pins and needles wonderin' if the blood is flowin' right in my body, or is it in riot too.

Another thought I forgot to share: There is a machine called a Pro Adjuster that is used folks like me with fusion surgery who are not canidates for traditional chiro manipulation. It is said of it that it adjust yer spine throught a laser or some kind of mechanism. I have been treated with it for a couple months now. Didn't notice it was helping any until last week. The person who had always treated me with it--takes just a few minutes...hook'd up to computer--wasn't around. The chiro--owner/operator--adminstered the treatment. Unlike the other person, he traveled all the way down my spine including the coccyx. The other person never used it on my coccyx and I really didn't pay attention to that fact. I had yet to tell the doctors and head chiro about the tailbone pain. I heard him same something to himself as he looked at the computer right as he was on the tailbone. I asked if there was something wrong. He said your tailbone is really inflammed. I was shocked. I told him about the tailbone pain and about the spinal tap and imaging I had a week prior to try to find if something wrong with coccyx--as well as all the other spine issues.

He zapped me a few time with the Pro Adjuster. That night after returning home, I sat down to use internet. After awhile, I realized that I wasn't experiening the terrible tailbone pain. The real test to see if what I thought was true--that Pro Adjuster works--was when I stood up and wasn't struck with that intense pain you speak of. Indeed I was shocked. Unfortuantely, my insurance no longer covers the Pro Adjuster treatment.

All this to say, do a search for this Pro Adjuster treatment in you area. See if your insurance will allow you to recieve the treatment.

Still hoping some other folk stop in here and reply. It is quite complexing to be having pain somewhere with no real answer as to why. Then again, my neurologist said of the subject of pain, not really understood and therefore can only treat it with the knowledge we, I would say "he", has.
