Tag someone elses photo on facebook?

I notice I'm in some photos on other peoples profiles but not tagged, If I tag myself and others will it show that I tagged it or will it just remain anonymous ?
I ask only because it would seem weird if people see I tag someone else photo that isn't very recent.
 
It will show that you are tagged on it but other people won't know who tagged it.
The only person who would know is the person who has the picture on their profile as they would get a notification saying so and so tagged themselves in their pic.
