T68i Vs V188

Hi guys!

I was thinking which to buy as a replacement for my V66, the Sony Ericsson T68i or Motorola V188 (both new).
T68i has a dozen more features then the V188, but it seems to be about 4 years old at this point. Does the age count for anything?

Also, the search started because I was looking for a cheap small international tri-band/quad-band phone with as many features as I could get on the budget, with a slight preference for flip phones. So any other suggestions for a phone model?
 
I used to use the t68i and it was an excellent little phone. I really loved that thing. I can't speak for the v188, but I did own a v180. That thing was a piece of crap. In my opinion, motorola doesn't put any effort into their lower end phones. The t68i was the cream of the crop back in the day and it just feels solid.

I think you could also get a t68i for cheaper than a v188 on ebay, but I'm not too sure about that.
 
I had a T68I, this phone was feature laden, a lot of fun stuff, I even bought the external camera but the phone had a flaw I couldnt accept, rhe receiver sensitivity was horrible, My son had a Nokia 3650 and my Daughter a bottom of the line older 2260 while in a store with a cell site right outside my sons and daughter's phone would send and receive perfectly while my T68i wouldnt even ring, the telephone was replaced twice and examined by the AT&T Techs once and each time it was reported as being in perfect operating condition, I have avoided Sony/Ericsson phones since then and bought a 3650 for myself, works perfectly, there used to be a web site that tested the receiver sensitivity and selectivity but it seems that it is gone, Sensitivity and Selectivity are the most important specs a phone can have and no one reports on them anymore. Just my 2 cents worth.

I ended up getting the V188 anyways, thanks for the advice.
So far I like the phone, but I just got it. I did like on the old V66 that it came with a special adapter just for that power block to use European and other electrical outlets. Haven?t seen that on other phones.

There is one surprise: the new phone took a Nextel and Omnipoint sim cards.
They don't work but it should still have asked for a pin, does this mean that this phone is unlocked? That would be a nice bonus!
