T5 Owners - Take Heed - Good News

Most of you know what a Tealpoint fan I am. Please take a look at:

http://www.tealpoint.com/beta.htm

This will give newcomers and veterans alike an idea of what I've known for some time: the lengths Tealpoint go to to for software compliance, especially with new hardware models. These are BETA versions of existing applications . . . and all were put up TODAY, November 2, 2004.

This is obviously dated today, and won't last long . . . but it gives a pretty good snapshot.

I love these guys. I'm not a T5 owner and won't be, but some of you are and rest assured Tealpoint will "fill as many cracks as possible." Thta's why I own 90% of their applications. The bad news is of course that all these applicatoins will now be a ltttle "more bloated" just to accommodate the T5 - whether you have a T5 or not. To have the latest upgrade on a T1/2/3, Zire, TE, Treo or whatever . . . the T5 just cost YOU more memory.

Finally, however -- it's some good news for T5 owners! They needed some. I haven't seen T5 updates from ANYONE ELSE yet.

Remember - if you decide to purchase any of Tealpoint's apps, make sure and reference "paulteal" somewhere on the order or in an email to Customer Support . . I have requested that forum members here get "special" treatment should they have software questions . . . heaven knows we don't get it from P1 support . . . and the T5 owners deserve a break!

Natara Software, makers of "Bonsai," (PREMIERE checklist/organization app!!) have just today (11/3) released 3.3.2 -- SUPPORT FOR T5!

They along with Teal are the only developers I've seen so far that are addressing these issues . . . and right on the heels of PalmOne's OWN FIXES -- remarkable. Hopefully others will follow.

To write good software is great.

To be 4 or 5 days behind PalmOne themselves in making that software T5 compatible -- now that's someone that deserves your business and hard earned money. I won't be taking these updates myself since I don't have a T5 - but it sure is MORE good news for those of you who have one.

You only have to read Clive_Jones' "Inbox to Go" nightmare to see how SOFTWARE compatibility is ESSENTIAL to those of us who actually use it daily and depend on it . . . hopefully that one will be updated soon, too.
