T5 Hotsync problem

Hello everyone,

I have a TT5. I have a problems when I hot sync with my two computers (Home WinXP & Work Win98). I connect the cable and the battery charger says that its charging but when I hot sync nothing happens. This been happening from the beginning but I usually jiggle the connection and it works, NOT in the past two days. Can anyone help me? I am going on a trip to FL and I need my PDA up to date.

Welcome to the club. The connectors on this hot sync cord are looser than that the girl Elton John talks about in his song - "Island Girl" - the words are she wraps her legs around you like a well worn tire. Why in the world PalmOne went with this type of connection boggles my mind. I was even occassionally getting errors that my USB port was not recognized (and it is a brand new factory installed USB port). I just gave up and purchased a cradle:

As Carol so elegantly put it :), the T5 mini USB connector does seem to more and more loose over time. The short term solution, since you are leaving on a trip, would be to buy another sync cable or cradle. You should file a warranty claim with Palm to get the sync cable replaced also. If nothing else, at least you'll have a spare cable.
 
Jim, you certainly know how to make a girl smile....wondered about my my analogy...glad it made it through the crudeness inspectors...:D :D :D
