T5 Battery Life

I dont know about u but my battery stays at 100% for 45min then when it goeos down, i gos prety fast, like 1% every 3min but when its lower than 70% it goes a whole lot faster, just wondering if i have my SD card in (always) is that adding to fuel to the fire and hows your B-Life

Mine stays at 100% too for quite a while. I can only compare it with my TT which was about 30% after a day's work including using the PPK. The T5 ends the day at about 70% including keyboarding and listening to audio books so I am happy with the outcome!

My usage is EXACTLY the same as action49; in fact, after several "short bursts" of usage (2-3 apps, 4 minutes on, 4 times per day) - it'll stay at 100% til the NEXT day (after 3 auto backups) and then show about a 10% drop for a while. It takes quite a bit to get down to 50% but by then it's back on the charger for an hour and good to go.

well i use mine more extensivly, at the end of the doy its about 20-40%

first 20-30min its at 100% but after that it steadly goes down obout 1% 2-3min. its really good dont get me wrong but by havind a SD card (512MB if that makes a diffrence) incerted all the time, does this cause the battery to be used more or the same as it being out?

Unless you're constantly dragging things OFF the card (making a temp copy in RAM to run programs or access pictures, maps, movies, etc) I wouldn't imagine just "having" the SD Card would affect things. Some programs DO NOT make a temp copy in RAM unless asked (WordSmith, TealDoc) - but most do.

Since you've got more room on the T5 you might try an experiment and move the "most common used stuff" from the Card to the handheld (if that's possible) and see if battery life improves.

I know that dragging bitmaps in AcidImage (images on card) or performing several manual backups will use juice.

I will try that, i only use the card to backup and do quit (non hotsync) syncs (copy the unzipped prc file in then tranfer to ram, no need to hotsync) whell and the total backup off all my Apps,Pics, and Documents. anyway the prroblem may be Zlauncher to, the when the Sd card is incerted then the prgm may constantly check it (not to sure thogh) well ill try if not ill do that thing you or some one gave about a T3 on another post about recharging (i didnot charge first when i got it, synced then at 30% charged !!!)
