T3 Uptake

My blood report shows the T3 uptake as 27.6 and the laboratory has marked as low. I take 1/2 capsules of Lovaza everyday. Would this number of T3 uptake be considered and low and what could be the reason for this and how it could be corrected. Would appreciate response from somone who knows about it.
 
T3 uptake is a thyroid test, but not a very useful one. It should have nothing at all to do with your use of Lovaza.

Have you had any other thyroid tests to go along with that one? The main one MDs like to order is TSH. T4 or free T4 is another commonly ordered thyroid test. T3 uptake, all on its own, means practically nothing at all.
