T3 screen

I HAVE A T3 MODEL, I LIKE TO KNOW HOW COME SOME OF THE PROGRAM CAN NOT USE THE FULL SCREEN WHEN EXTENDED, IS IT NEED A SPECIAL UTILITY PROGRAM? IN ORDER TO MAKE ANY PROGRAM TO THE FULL SCREEN WHEN EXTENDED?

the application that you are using is compatible with the T3? That is the first this to check. Then if so, you are probably missing two little files that are application specific to the T3. These two little applications are called:

StatusBarLib.prc

AppSlipRotate.prc

I have attached these two files in a zip file.

However, I would strongly suggest that you download this other attached file Filez in the next post which is freeware. This is a free application that will allow you to review the contents of your T3 to ensure you don't already have these two applications. I suggest that you check this first because I would not be a contributory factor of causing problems with your T3. It is unlikely that two of the same files will load at the same time (meaning one should overwrite the ).

Hope this helps....

Thanks, Carol for your advise, I am new to this, how can I tell which programs are compatible with the T3 ?
After download and installed the Filez program, I notice there are two files in the T3: StatusBarLib and AppSlipRotate. Both program in my T3 do not have the extension - prc - are those programs same as the one mentioned in your thread? or should I download the one that mentioned by you with the extension - prc -? I appreciate your advise. Thanks again.

You have the required files for compatible applications to make use of the T3's full screen. But there are still plenty of Palm softwares not designed for the 320 X 480 screen, so the problem is not with your unit. If the down arrow on the lowest right corner is not highlighted, then the software has no such capability.

Regards.

As dmyu stated in his post your T3 should have came with everything and there are applications that do not work with the extended screen availablity

However, to answer your question you are better off using all of the files that come with Filez versus the ones I have posted.

And there were files on my T3 that would not work, however I did discover that there were applications that didn't work initially, however I contacted the developer of the specific software of the application I had questions about. There were utlities I had to add, but these were individualized to the application and only based on the developer's recommendation. These utlities were specific and often different than the ones I addressed previously. If they were available I was able to get them from the developers.

AFTER POST MY THREAD ABOUT THE SUBJECT AND ALL THE ADVISES AND OPINIONS FROM ALL OF YOU, I FELT SOFTWARE COMPANY SHOULD PROVIDE US UPDATE FOR USE IN OUR PDA. I WROTE TO MAPOPOLIS ABOUT THE MATTER, THEY TOLD ME I PAID TOO MUCH FOR AN OUTDATED PROGRAM PURCHASED FROM MY LOCATE STORE. THEY ARE SO KIND AND LET ME HAVE AN NEW VERSION OF THE PROGRAM. I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD FROM THE COMPANY'S SITE AND SET IT UP BEFORE I CAN USE IT. IT LOOKS MUCH MORE COMPLICATED THAN THE CD INSTALLATION. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT TURN OUT, I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW IN DUE COURSE.

I HAVE DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED THE PROGRAM FROM MAPOPOLIS SIT, IT WORKS OK AND EXTENDED TO THE FULL SCREEN. MAPOPOLIS IS A GOOD COMPANY, PROVIDES FAST AND EFFICIENCY SERVICES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
