T3 locked up

I used my T3 earlier today, put it in my purse. Now I go to use it and it's locked up. I have reset (soft) it several times and still nothing. I can finally get past the 1st screen after a few minutes, but now it's stuck at the Preferences sheet. I don't know what happened. Any suggestions, short of a hard reset. Does this mean it's died on me?!?!?!?

There is hope.
There is something between a soft reset and a hard reset, and it is known as a warm reset.
The procedure is as follows:
Performing a Warm Reset

A warm reset bypasses any system extensions (such as HackMaster hacks, OS patches, etc) that are loaded on your handheld. Performing a warm reset will often bypass the "boot loop" error and allow you to remove any third party applications that may contribute to, or cause the found issue.

To perform a warm reset:

1. Press and hold the page 'Up' button, or navigator on your handheld.
2. Use the reset tool to gently press the reset button located inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.
3. When the Palm logo appears on screen, release the Page 'Up' button.
