T3 Fatal Error

Can anyone offer any advice for this fatal error that completely renders the T3 inoperative? It occurs during the installation of the Desktop Software, when the message to reset the handheld comes up.

Your question seems confusing. You say that the error message occurs when installing the desktop software. Then a message comes up to reset the handheld?

If your installing the desktop software the T3 should not be connected until told to do so....and then hotsync'd....is this when the message is occuring or just during the desktop portion.

I'm assuming the message is on the handheld and you have not yet successfully sync'd. So my suggestion would be to hard reset the handheld. To do so, insert the stylus into the back of the T3 while holding down the power button then choose the "up" button to hard reset the device when prompted.

Thanks for getting back to me. Let me try to clarify...
It began when I was getting a lot of fatal errors while trying to open documents on the handheld. I could not resolve it. I downloaded a new (7.0) version of Docs to Go from Data Viz and I was able to use it briefly, but the problem continued. I thought I would try to "start over" with everything since all my material is backed up on the PC. I did a hard re-set and began what I thought was the process of setting up the handheld as if it was new. Once I did that, this new aggressive error began every time I tried to sync the Desk Top Software back to the handheld. I would go thru the steps, restoring databases etc, but once it was apparently done, a message appears on the screen of the Palm indicating I need to reset the device. Every time I do that the fatal message comes up. At that point the unit is frozen completely, so bad that it cannot be turned off. So I have to do another hard re-set and the nightmare begins again!
