Is it? For the love of God, is it? Are we destined to be chided - not for a software solution - oh no, that would be too easy - but for the HARD and FINAL solution . . .
Only time will tell. My God, the humanity. Carol and I have both had enough . . . and to make matters worse . . . I'm making more coffee as we speak, and have two "RockStar" drinks chillin' in the fridge.
It's going to be a long Groton, CT / L.A. evening, boys and girls . . . . .
and Carol & I are ready! We're not takin' any C**P any more. Do you feel lucky, punk? Well . . . DO YA? PUNK!? "Just gettin' warmed up," a la Pacino . . .
As for the battery question, I think Heather's got great advice there. Hi Heather! Welcome back! Wish I'd thought of that before I strapped a T5 and a LifeDrive to a DieHard and got rid of the coffee and RockStar on it . . . .
Are you in India, too, Heather? Have you ever talked to anyone over there regarding a return, or seen a letter from Customer Support that re-states your name in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs very politely, always followed by a nice little "comma," and then repeats your question to you as advice? Just curious. Personally I'll take my chances repairing my own, as others have taken to doing, since explaining a battery or digitizer problem to "Abu from the Simpsons" would probably take 3 days anyway.
Hey - remember when (I think it was "palmOne" then - might have been "Palm") told people if they put stuff in flash, and took it out of volatile RAM memory, they'd VOID their warranty? Then came out with . . . non volatile memory? I do.
Please pardon my sarcastic venting here; you have posted here before
(here's an example, replete with neat responses from TWO moderators - I did a search while in the middle of this rant and had NO IDEA this existed until about 2 minutes ago!):

. . . but let's be honest. Not only is Customer Service "lacking" at Palm or PalmOne or Palm9xJH or whatever it is this week . . . . it's virtually non-existent. That's why we've got people trying to replace their own batteries Helen - God forbid they should be stuck with one of your new models. I'm in that boat myself.
In fact, Heather, (see, I copied your form letters) you're the best offering I've ever SEEN of their customer service . . . and nothing personal. Simply judging you on your kind posts here, you should be running it. You didn't even put commas after the OP's name.
