T2 Gone?

You can still find open-boxed or blemished T2's for sale at PalmOne, but I don't think you're going to find any new ones. You can also get a great deal on one via Ebay (of course).

Sadley this device is discounited replaced by the Tungsten T3 and soon to be replaced by the T4 the only place that you can get it brand new is in stores. Sorry

That's a good point by tungstenlover - you can probably find them new in the stores still. I know there are plenty around in stores here in England still.

I don't think there will be a T4 though, I'm guessing it'll be a completely different model for the next OS, but that's only me speculating so I'm probably wrong. Also as PalmOne's last batch of PDAs were out in March (I think) I don't think we'll see any new ones till October, but that's not too far away.

I have to agree with iii3c....a new OS usually is accompaied by a new form factor etc. I can envisage a Zire-like beast with sliderless 480x320 and the buttons and 5-way precariously balanced on the bottom edge. Hopefully no camera and therefore room for more battery/extra card slot etc. I guess we'll have to wait and see..either way, I thin the T-line has had its day but waht the hell do I know;)

The Radio Shack in our local mall still has the M515 in stock! So, I'm sure there are plenty of T2's out there. I couldn't believe it when I saw the familiar M500 series on display and then several in boxes on the shelf! I would've really freaked had it been a genuine M500, but the M515 is old enough!

Like the IIIc, the M515 ruled. Mine was finally relegated to a game machine for my four year old until the screen simply went white. I haven't been able to resuscitate it. Darn!

I'm hoping PalmOne releases new PDA's that would even make Darth Vader jealous.

My plan will be to get the "last, cheapest" T3 as a spare when THEY decide to "fade out;" I'm almost certainly NOT going with OS6 Cobalt.

Yes, an M515 would still be terrific - overclocked and hacks up the kazoo . . . those were the days.

Darth Vader has a red light saber, so I don't think PalmOne can release anything capable of making him jealous. And if they did, he'd just squeeze their heads like a grapefruit with the Force.

I'll settle for a blue light saber, though.

Hey SoS, I've been concentrating on making some money. My GF's always wondering how I'm going to take care of all the kids we don't even have yet, so...

If it's not one thing it's another. But you guys are on my mind. Currently, I've been enjoying iSilo and it's wonderfulness, but I've also been trying to configure NewsMac to convert RSS feeds to iSilo format. Much fun there.

Also, trying to figure out bit-torrent and Azureus. Also, trying to figure out KisMac and MacStumbler. All in addition to the usual Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Along with trying to make enough money to shush my GF.

On top of everything else, I'm patiently awaiting the OS 6 T|4 and how much Mac synchronization will suck with it. Or not.

Thanks for asking. How about you?

Busy you are...stop that!!

You sound v. occupied. Good to see you on the forum. All well here in sunny London (well for the moment anyway).

I look forward to OS6 with a mixture of joy and dread...as for the T4, I really suspect there either wont be one, or it will just be a T3 with some moderate extras (new cpu, extra slot etc). I really think the new OS6 flagship will be more Zire-like and I suspect the tungsten slider form factor has had its day. I guess we will see...

take care and good luck with all yer projects..

I just got a new tattoo on my back and I've been busy trying to wash it and keep it protected with the Vitamin A & D ointment. I live by myself, so it takes much longer than previously anticipated. Plus, with all the itching and skin peeling, I've been quite occupied. Unfortunately, it hurt much too much to finish it in one sitting, so I have to go back next week and gnash my teeth together for another 4 hours.

Tattoos on the back? All this pain and I can't even see it. :p

Sunny London? A true sign of the Apocalypse.

I'll be fine with the new OS 6 devices if PalmOne gets it's act together and supports the Mac again (even though the Mark/Space solution might be right dandy if it's included) and if we get built-in Wi-Fi and BT. (I heard about the other option with the 2 SD slots, but naahhh!)

Itchy itchy itchy. Good thing I bought one of those back-scratchers at the flea market way back.
