T-Mobile Users With BB As Modem On Laptop

I have prepared a PPT with the complete flow and sent it to most of the BB users in my office. Attaching the same herewith and might be of use to you. Please be advised that I am a T-Mo subscriber and I got close to 56.7KBPS average speed. Slow, but best when you need it. I am at least able to get on to my VPN to do my work.

I have the configured properly, but all I get is error #719 "remote computer not responding in time" or something to that effect.

Don't know why.

Any suggestions?

Everything is working properly EXCEPT the remote "computer" which is T-Mobile.

I use my BB Pearl for a modem on my Macbook Pro using OS X. I've never been able to get it to work on Windows for some unknown reason. I have a dual boot with Bootcamp on my laptop.
 
I use my pearl as a modem, i just followed the instructions they posted here somewhere..

Although after i saved the settings i restarted my laptop.
 
T-mobile encourages the use of their phones as modems...so don't be afraid to call a CS rep and have them help you out...each phone is unique as is each computer you're attatching it to...they can help you faster than checking the boards every couple hours...at least in this instance
 
Okay... my 8700 works great on my laptop that runs XP... but I just got another laptop that runs Vista.. how do you set up that one?

Tmo wasn't a whole lot of help on that one... they basically gave me the same instructions as setting up the connection through XP, which Vista users know is nothing alike...
 
Hello all...I have 8100 and been trying to use this as modem for bout 4 months now...tmo and I have spent many hours on phone trying to figure out why its not working...keep getting error codes...I have vista and it seems to be the problem...hence why BB released .107 OS...for vista...so I'm in the same boat at many. When and IF I get this to work ill def post! Thank you!
