I think you should get a Blackberry, even though I'm not a huge Blackberry fan. Getting an unlocked iPhone won't allow you to update the firmware. Also, Blackberry's are strong phones, and they are good for work or for anything else you need.

Should I get a white iPhone 16- 3Gs (unlocked) or a BlackBerry?
I will only use it for calls, texts, wifi, & any other applications on the phone.
