T-Mobile Storm

When they were talking about the patents for a touchscreen and had dyafts of the storm they ajlso talked about a patent for a flip and a slider. The flip and the touch are out so I'm waiting on the next generation.

wait till you get some money. . lol..
i dont think its worth it.. might as well have bought a iphone when it came out like all those others who spend countless hours waiting.. a phone is a phone. dont you wish sometimes you didnt have one? i dont like to be bothered at times.. doesnt anyone else?

I was talking to Blackberry CS last night cause I've been having issues with my Pearl and told him I want to upgrade but want to wait until the Curve II or whatever it's going to be call. Anyway, he said that after the exclusive contract runs out with VZW, sometime in Jan or Feb that TMO will be getting the Storm. Don't know if he's right, but it would be cool.

Usually when I talk to TMO customer service they tell me that they don't know anything until the day before any new device comes out. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

wait till you guys see the BB magnum and the BB pluto. Google them, i hurd these are going to be the gsm versions of the storm. The only storm that we are going to be able to use is the Vodafone and you have to buy it unlocked or get it unlocked for somewhere around 150 dollars. Verizon storms can not be unlocked even tho there is a sim card slot for world wide use, it will not work here if you put in your card. The only way this could happen is if there is some nerd or genius that hacks some program, then verizons storm can be unlocked. chow

I will give you an answer; maybe in 2020 T-mo will get it.
If it wasn't for the fact that they have low rates, i would have change carriers. There service is great too, but dam; they are slacking in getting US the best of the best in devices. The gay G1 and the Behold and is just as lame as the G1.

They need to think of some for 09 or they are going to loose a lot of customers. now that they have increase their rates.

I just bought a Storm and signed on with Verizon. I still have my 8100 with T-Mobile. I was in the T-Mobile store the other day and told the BB guru there that if T-Mobile doesn't at least get a 3G BB by the end of 2009, that I am gone!!!

I am giving T-Mobile a year!

From what I understand the Verizon storm can be unlocked to use on T-Mobile. They sell them on craigslist. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

the slider blackberry is a possible 2009 release, a late 2009 release....arose4me is right though, everyone keeps saying the same thing. really it's not for sure, but take my word on this: verizon has a 6 month exclusive on the device, so that means about may the exclusive deal will run out. T-Mobile has released all the sweet blackberry devices around aug-oct the past 3 years or so, so if we were to get the storm or a revolutionary device like the pearl, or curve, or the flip then that would be the time we would get it....seriously, think about it. Also besides the storm look at all the other blackberry devices that are scheduled to launch in 2k9, it's amazing. Also everyone says if it wasn't for t-mobile low rates, how about this yeah t-mobile has been slow in some departments and some of it there is a reason, and some of it was just plain stupidity. But heres one thing about t-mobile you can count on, when a device launches it's going to work....Why is it that when AT&T launched the iphone and the Razr just to name a couple of big name phones they were all screwed up, why is it that when Verizon launched the Storm there were so many issues with firmware and stability of the device, well the answer is unlimke t-mobile these carriers don't test their devices like t-mobile does. SO T-MOBILE IS GETTING IT AND WHEN YOU GET IT THEY WORK BETTER THAN DEVICES THAT OTHERS HAVE ON AT&T, VERIZON, SPRINT, ALLTEL, ETC....THINK ABOUT THAT. don't forget another thin the "gay" g1, and the behold are revolutionary devices. Not everyone is going to want a blackberry especially when coming from a razr or a blast or a nokia 1680 (google it if you don't know what it is) an sda, or whatever the case maybe. You don't want to overwhelm them with the most amazing smartphone in the world, so thats why we have the gravity and the behold. a phone that isn't a smartphone that offers some smartphone capabilities, and then what do we(well em since I work for the company)do well we hook them on blackberry devices after, because they'll crave something more, also it keeps the 15 and 16 year olds or the older generation that wants something just to "text" on....do you know how frustrating that is, when someone gets a phone and not uses it to its full potential......it's very frustrating because they think the phone sucks when it doesn't work properly.....so why would you want them using a blackberry...the answer is you don't you want them to use something different. The G1 is also like the iphone, the dare, the voyager, the instinct...it's a phone to get people in the door. You always have to have some sort of catch phrase (metaphorically speaking) to bring people in. Some poeple are against a blackberry and want something different, something just for fun, something that can offer more of just the silly things in life, hat is a service provider suppose to say screw you...no they need to maximize on the opporunity of gaining new customrs, and attract them with what's hot. I know we are all smart enough to figure this out on our own but we may not get the storm, big whoop, what if we get something thats mixes the storm and the bold together, or a touch slider, or pearls with 3g, or something really insane....just know when it launches it will work because t-mobile prides theself in putting out things that are going to work more than a day or two like most of verizons blackberry storms.

and the other thing is this....everyone is saying something about t-mobile's (lack of) 3G, yeah its a big deal in taking the next step in the evolution of mobile technology, but seriously 3G can't be that much better when my 2G blackberry works better and faster than a 3G iphone. Or when I'm connected to wifi I can browse a lot faster than the other carriers wmax or 3g networks. . .thats one reason we stayed with wifi technology over the 3G technology, its great but no one has enough towers to support the traffic, on true 3G you should be running up to 5mbps, and on most networks you'll be lucky if you hit 1.5mbps, so we will get 3g and with the deals that we've gotten on our equipment not only will we be ready for 4g but at a fraction of the cost of the other providers. we thnk small but act big. remember that
