T-Mobile SIM

Hey everyone!

I was just wondering what would happened if you stick a non T-mobile SIM [Ex: AT&T SIM] card into a T-mobile 8100.. like would the phone freeze up or what?

you would have no connection, possible say please insert sim card, and your on the right thread

You need to unlock your phone in order to use the SIM cards from other GSM carriers.

Sometimes you will get a pop up message that says "SIM card unsupported or unauthorized or SIM card error. Contact you provider."

Yup. It just won't work if the phone is not unlocked. It won't kill the BB or anything. I always try when I get my hands on a new BB from another service provider, I could get lucky and it could already be unlocked.
