T-Mobile Reps I have a question

I work for a TMO dealer and they informed us this morning that as of Nov 8th in our customer acct page we will be able to see the prorated amount that the customer would need to pay for the etf
 
Prorated ETF (as explained to us and we have been selling T-Mobile for over 7 years now) only applies to new customers or those who renew their contracts after the prorated ETF's were put in place. Existing customers who have not renewed their contracts are still tied to the original terms and conditions that were in place on their last contract.

See thats what i thought Amigotek, This is why im jammed in a dilemma... I almost feel like im being punished for being a long time subscriber
 
When was the Prorated ETF put in place? Also, I have a family plan and have the Hotspot at home, but it only applies to my phone. Is there something I am missing? Also, it is not included in my data plan. I have to pay the $9.99 extra.
 
Him and his girlfriend would have to have a router at home to get the Wifi/UMA feature to work or be near a hotspot. and, the 8320 will do the same as the 8120 if you like the Curve better. Upgraded to the 4.5 OS from TMO of course.
 
Did you contact TMO? Did they say you hve to pay the full ETF? Did you explain about no signal? Did you have the no signal problem for the past 5 years?
 
The prorated ETF's were put in place this past summer. I don't remember the exact date but do recall seeing the changes on the contracts we were printing out sometime in July.

There are two different @home features. One is for $9.99 and covers only one line. The other is for $19.99 and includes all lines on a family plan. There was a promotional period for about a month or two (maybe longer) where you could sign up the entire family for the individual price. When did you add the @home to your account?

That would be about the time that T-Mobile had permanently reduced the price. If you are paying $9.99 it sounds like they only put the one line on the feature. If you have more than one wi-if UMA phone in your family plan then you will need to change it over to the more ($10 more) expensive family feature; if not then it is fine where it is at.

For everyone referring to the Wifi UMA H@H or 9.99 or 19.99. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE IT. I know this because I spent more weeks than I would like to get into. (sorry for yelling, a little stressed about this subject)

You need a wireless router (make and model dont matter, but then you may run into compatibility issues I first ran into)

Second, you dont need then plan. if you want to be able to have unlimited talk time and not have them deducted from your original month plan, you sign up for the 19.99 (at the time they pushed it to me) and then any time you start a call using uma its free (if you switch over to edge, gsm, what ever, after initializing the call its still free). The call just needs to start on UMA.

Third, I spent weeks arguing with the reps that no where does it say (at the time I did this, last sept / oct , yes, all that time back and forth) the plan is required to use UMA.
So after pushing and pushing, I was final able to have them say that I can use the UMA and have time mins deducted from my regular monthly bag, rather than paying any addition fees. Basically I put it this way, Why would I want to spend an additional 20 more for unlimited mins, when I dont even go though the 1000 I already have and only get 0-1 bar at my house w/o UMA.
 
Thats not true all the time Amigotek. It depends on what market you are in. Im in St. Louis and for the unlimited hotspot for the family is $9.99 a month and that covers all the lines.
