I have a pearl 8100, images I save from the internet on my phone I alwasy have a problem when I try to send them in a mms or a email to anyone else. Has any one experienced this problem from t-mobile? The picture gets deleted or something and my friends never get to see the pic but they get the message.

Sometimes this happens if your friends don't have the same carrier/phone.. do any of them have a BB and/or T-Mobile? I have a friend with Verizon who gets a "Login to your account online to view this picture" message whenever I send a MMS. Although, my friends that have TMO and a smartphone (BB or other) seem to receive the picture just fine..

I have the same problem. I had a Motorola Pebl and all the MMS pictures would open up fine for me from friends who sent it to me from other carriers. But when I went to the Pearl, it will tell me that I have been sent a picture message and to goto www.t-mobilepictures.com to go in and check it. Anyone have the same problem?

If it tells you to go to tmobilepictures.com It means 1 of 2 things.. Either you are not set up on the network as a picture messaging phone. ( especially common when switching from any phone TO a blackberry, BB has to be designated different in the network) or the MMS was sent in an unsupported or incompatible format. With the exception of a very odd and unlikely situation in the network it will always be one of the two things causing the problem. Hope it helps.

Eddie is right, one trick is once you get a BB send an MMS to your self. this will register your phone with TMOs MMS service as an MMS capable phone.

Yes they do have BB but are on different carriers. One thing I noticed is that the pictures that I have the problems sending are the ones I save to my phone from the internet.

thats very odd, unless they are very large in size. I send pictures from the internet a lot.to myself to my other lines to emails to other people on other networks, and no issues.

I'm on an 8320 with tmo and have absolutely NO luck receiving mms. The message shows up, but the pictures are never automatically retrieved. I have to manually "retrieve now" and sometimes just end up with a blank message. You can imagine how annoying this is, I'm sure. I'm on my third 8320 now, and tmo seems to have no idea how to help me. Anyone else having this same issue?

This is a known issue on Tmo's network ( and possibly RIM's considering the amount of people that are experiencing this) A couple things to try that may help.

1) Go into menu, options, security options, general settings and turn the firewall on.

2) Go into options, advanced options, host routing table, menu, register now.

3) From the homescreen press shift + lglg and then when the event log comes up hit menu, clear log.

4) Pull the battery.

5) When the picture message comes in you will see the arrows in the top right corner. Do not open the picture message until the arrows have stopped.

This has helped fix the issue in the past but ultimately until the network issue is resolved i9t may come back. Hope it helps.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~I also have the same problem but mostly with blank pic msgs.. Its sad cause you miss out on pics.. I have called many many times but have never really been given any explanation

i will try that!
thank you so much. i'm at my wit's end with tmo...
i have definitely missed out on some pics, and people are getting pretty fed up with my repeated requests to try sending the pics again.

i've sent several mms to myself and that seems to work...but still not having too much luck with others. i've tried all of the above mentioned fixes as well...
