T-mobile data required?

LOL

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE'S ANY WAY TO CANCEL DATA?

Or can I get out of NOT ordering data in the first place?

Any advice?

Thanks

("I have been with tmobile for over 8 years; we have a family plan with 1000 shared minutes, unlimited text, and we pay for 2 extra lines, we have upgraded a few times; now almost all phones "require" data plans? None of us use internet! I occassionally use wi-fi. While I know I'm not going to find a cheaper family plan on another network; I refuse to pay for a data plan for 4 lines that none of us will be using! I know if its a google or android phone it will basically be useless without internet, so does anyone know what would be good NEW phones for us?

When we went into the T-mobile store the "associate" told us that our unlimited message plan no longer qualifies as a data plan, so we would have to pay an additional data fee per line for ANY of the new phones!? Real helpful, btw! (except for 3 older model lame phones in the corner?) He also made sure to yell across the store that the data "Cannot be cancelled after you get your phones" (we were simply trying to look at new phones) I really don't see why I should upgrade, and sign a new 2 year contract for junk phones! HELP!

Is there any way (other than buying unlocked from eBay) to get a decent phone? Is there ANY way to cancel the data service?")
