T-Mobile Dash 3G Problem?

I just received my new Dash 3G about 6 days ago. I have a problem that I cannot solve. My phone will keep sending old text messages to people I sent them to...An Example: Let's say on Monday I was texting "Mary" and we exchanged several text messages for an hour. Then about 3 hours later, she will receive all those text messages I sent her over again. Its annoying to my friends and I cant blame them. I called t-mobile tech support and she couldn't figure out the problem either, She only suggested upgrading my windows mobile from 6.1 to 6.5. But I don't see how that would be causing my phone to keep sending text messages over and over again over time. I hope someone can help me with this...Im starting to regret getting this phone. Help please
