T-mobile buying suncom. certain things change. some dont?

I have suncom.(a service provider more in the south.) and t-mobile has recently bought them out. i have noticed a few changes over time. such as on my phone at the top it normally says suncom for the service status now it says t-mobile.

I noticed though when i restart my phone the suncom logo still pops up. will it ever change to t-mobile?

also i have a blackberry pearl, i know some blackberrys have different themes depending on service such as verizon, etc...

since i now have t-mobile will i get a update or blackberry update??

It will always say suncom which is burned it ROM or what evers. It will change when you get a new phone. I had this when AT&T did the double switch.
 
Tomorrow September 8, is the actual changeover for us SunCom users to T-Mobile. The service status should change from SunCom to T-Mobile. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
will our contracts change?

Former SunCom customers can now access T-Mobile's nationwide U.S. network and customer service. In addition, former SunCom stores have been re-launched as T-Mobile stores.
