T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl

Palmtree Panic

New member
Hi,
I recently had my phone stolen, and I think to replace it I'm going to buy a blackberry pearl. I have a couple of questions, first.. can anyone recommend any good places to buy blackberry pearls (just the phone! I already have a plan with t-mobile and I am just looking to buy the phone), if anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated.

I was also wondering if I should switch plans... I've heard of an "information" plan or something like that. Right now I think I'm just on a regular 600 minute per month plan, but I would like to be able to use the internet (google, google maps, read blogs) and check my email from my phone, should I upgrade my plan?

Thanks in advance!
Mike

murz, welcome to the stacks, the best places to buy a reputable pearl is either here or the t-mo store you will pay a bit, the best way I have found to avoid this is tell them you want to extend your contract 2 years, it will work if you are friendly
when you sign up you will need the blackberry data plan!!!!!!
make sure they add it to your plan, unlimited with tmo is 20.00 a month.
that will give you all the web you need

nope sms and mms are seperate with tmo sorry,
but I use the minutes and mail plan unl. text unl. data and I threw in 400 sms for safety and it's 70ish a month
hope it helps.
the people at tmo are more than helpful to find you a plan to fit your budget and be worth the money

Check the local craigslist in your city. I was able to cop an unlocked tmo pearl for $100 yesterday (which isn't bad if you consider you didn't have insurance on yours). Look around. There are plenty of pearls going for well under "market value" right now, just gotta find the deals. Hope this helps.

lets see.
my plan with tmo is 39.99- 600 Mins, unlimited nights and weekends
14.99- Unlimited Text
19.99- Data plan (includes tethering)
_____
76+ after taxes (cant really do math lol)

* ebay for cheap pearl but its safer to get it with tmo store...

Safer, and will work for sure, maybe, if you dont get a defective one!!!! Cheap plans are what make T-MO the best!!!!

This is exactly what I have, cept my first bill i had the 49.99 plan, somehow its about $98 bucks this month. I imagine it'll be 10 bucks less when i get my next bill since i went down to the 39.99. Unlimited text rocks, especially when you have AIM and MSN. Most people dont realize those also count.

$25.00 Dollars (1500 Minutes. MyFav, Free Incomming, Free T-zones)
$5.00 (Unlimited M2M, and Unlimited Text Messages)
$15.00 ( BB Add on)
--------------------
$45.00 Each month.... Yeah my plan rocks.. oh and by the way NO CONTRACT TO.
(((and by the way, I have t-mobile to)))

Anyway, if anyone every wants just e-mail and unlimited txt on there blackberry I can get it to them for $19.99.. Thats if you do not use the Internet.. If you want it just shoot me a Pin.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I have the following:

$39.99 Get More 600 Minutes (free nights and weekends)
$14.99 Unlimited Texts
$5.99 Equipment Protection
$19.99 BlackBerry BIS AddOn

If you can go with an unlimited SMS and MMS feature, I believe that it's 19.99 per line and that can save a lot of money if you text and MMS a lot.

I was granfathered in on a TMO rate plan about 3 years ago:

$39.99 - 1,500 anytime minutes

Now I am adding:
$19.99 - unlimited BB Data plan
$4.99 - 500(?) text messages
$6.99 - unlimited mobile to mobile

Not to bad and will hopefully be enough minutes. Upgrading to 2,500 minutes would cost a TON compaired to what I have now!
