T-Mobile. Android. No Nexus One. Thoughts?

Considering on trying out T-Mobiles no contract option and buy a phone out-right to see how it goes. I want to try out an Android, but I'm not sure which one is more practical. Based on the feature list, I'm kind of stuck between the MyTouch 3G and the Cliq XT. However, I'm open to other options too.

Thoughts?

My touch slide. Or wait for something better. Samsung Galaxy S??? TMo really needs to get some better phones or I am bailing... I would pass on the regular My Touch or Cliq unless you really are ready to toss your Razr.

Haa - I need to update my info here. My razr died quite a while ago. I'm on an unlocked Nokia 6300 on ATT right now.

I can't really afford a phone *RIGHT NOW* anyway, so me jumping the gun on the Cliq XT (even though I really liked that phone when I saw it) I won't be able to just grab. Since the MyTouch Slide is right around the corner, I am waiting for that.

I have, however, activated service with T-Mobile as of last night. They are shipping me a sim card with a new number with their basic Even More Plus 500 min no web no text plan. That way I can test things out for a week or two and if things pan out (which based on their coverage map, I'm sure they will), then I'll port my number over, add text + web, and eventually begin looking @ what phone to get.

I won't lie, I spoke to T-Mobile on several occasions. Very nice staff. I was happy.
